    The Weekend Test

If your business cannot survive 48 hours without your direct input, you don't own a business. You own a high-stress, well-paid job with no boundaries.

    The Weekend Test.

    The Learning Tax

For the first few years of my business life, my phone would be incessantly busy on the weekends.
Team issues. Client emergencies. 3rd Party delays.
I told myself I was "hustling." I told myself this is what it took to become a serious entrepreneur.
I was wrong and paying excessive learning tax.

    Operator vs. Owner

If your business cannot survive 48 hours without your direct input, you don't own a business.
You own a high-stress, well-paid job with no boundaries.

    The Transition

The transition from "Operator" to "Owner" isn't about working harder.
It's about establishing boundaries, building systems, training people, and then trusting them to run them consistently.
It took me years to learn this circular principle but the logic is simple:
Money should not be dependent on your personal presence.
    You are not superhuman.
In fact, there are many people out there capable (and itching) to take tasks off you and do it better than you ever have.

    Delegation Skills and Structure

If you're dreading your phone ringing this weekend, we need to look at your delegation skills and structure.
    Enjoy your weekend.
